Kabobi is truly a gem! The food is absolutely amazing, with portions that are incredibly generous. The staff are not only professional but also warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, which makes the experience even more special. The restaurant manager goes out of his way to make you feel at home, and it shows in the atmosphere. The quality of the food here is outstanding—much better than most of the Persian restaurants I’ve tried in the area. Every bite reminds me of Iranian kebab houses back home, full of authentic flavor and nostalgia. For anyone craving traditional Persian dishes made with care and authenticity, Kabobi is the place to go! We went back two nights in a row, and I’m sorry. I completely forgot to take a picture of the kebab we ate, but I’m sure there are plenty of those pictures online.
Absolutely delightful lunch experience.Very pleasant and caring customer service. Quality food and generous portions. The authentic flavors just dropped in. Tried some platters and desserts. They were yummy and unique. Forgot to take pics of main course since we were hungry.
Awesome place! Nice friendly staff and a pretty environment with good accommodations. We went there twice for dinner and as you see in the photo the food portions are large. One order of rice was enough for 2 people. We got lamb koubideh, bone in chicken juje, ash, zeyton parvarde, and pistachio ice cream. The ash was great! It was just right and I had to order it twice! The juje was really good and juicy, try it for sure! The koubideh could be a little better, it was a bit dry but overall tasted good. Pistachio ice cream was really close to authentic and I recommend it. It was the best I tasted so far. The zeyton parvarde was not very authentic and as you can see in the photo it is a lot (+11$). I think they substituted pomegranate with cranberry and there were not enough herbs used in the preparation. Also the mint yogurt drink was great. 10/10 recommend!
Amazing food, good portions! The humus is amazing every single time!!! We waited a little longer than usual due to it being a full house on Christmas night. Regardless, the food was brought to our table once we ordered it at the counter and was fresh and hot per usual. The wait was worth it! This place never disappoints, my husband surprised me after years of not coming by since we live closer to the Noon o Kabob in hickory hills (about 5 minutes away) but hands down I’ll do the 40 minute drive for this place. So excited to come by again soon!
We ordered food for a large gathering (around 200 meals) with a wide variety of dishes, everything from koobideh and joojeh kabob to ghormeh sabzi, kashk-e bademjan, and even baklava. Every single item was excellent and tasted fresh and authentic. We’re in Iowa, and they delivered the food, kept it hot, and helped with warming and serving, which made the whole event so smooth. The manager was incredibly generous; he sent more than we expected and really went above and beyond. The staff were friendly, professional, and organized. Our ceremony went perfectly, and everyone was very happy. Thank you so much. highly recommended!
I had Kabobi for a weekend lunch. I ordered the veggie plate. It came with a nice variety of items: Baba ganoush: smoky and creamy. Salad: fresh. Acidic, helps cut through the other items on the plate Dill rice: little dry, but had really nice flavor. Texture good, fluffy and chewy Hummus: creamy with nice hint of garlic Falafel: excellent. Could taste the flavor and spices. This is probably one of the best falafel I've had in the city. They also gave some pitas, they weren't that good, bit dry. On the side, they had a Shaker of sumac. It added a nice tang when added. Atmosphere was nice. They had artwork on the walls. The windows were open, gave restaurant nice open feel Overall, had a great time at this restaurant.
Ordered the beef kafta and it’s good. The atmosphere in this restaurants is chaotic. If youre new they dont ask if it is your first time they just tell u if youre not ready step aside. You have to figure out what you have to do :-). Hard to park since it’s street parking. If you are in the area it’s a good place to try.
The dish I ordered to go, shown in the photo, was simply outstanding. The chicken and beef koubideh were beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. The meal comes with hummus, salad, and warm pita bread, and this particular order was the family platter for three, served with a generous portion of rice — half dill rice and half Ada’s polo. It is absolutely worth the price. Highly recommended. Six out of five stars!
